Two police officers in Sheboygan have reached significant milestones in their law enforcement careers.
The Sheboygan Police Department has shared that last week, Officers Kalen Buchner and Keith Nachtwey graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy at Fox Valley Technical College.
The graduation ceremony, held on August 7th, included words from Sheboygan Chief of Police Kurt Zempel, as well as Buchner addressing his fellow graduates, having served as Class President.
In addition to serving as Class President, Officer Buchner was awarded with the Craig A. Birkholz Memorial Award for Leadership Excellence, a prestigious honor decided by recognition from peers.
Happy to see Officers Nachtwey and Buchner take this next step in their law enforcement careers, the Sheboygan police Department has said, “We’re incredibly proud of these new officers and look forward to the positive impact they will have in our community.”
