Two hikers were injured by a lightning strike while walking in Kettle Moraine State Forest on Saturday.
Emergency crews responded around 4:14 p.m. after receiving reports of an unresponsive man.
First responders located the man and a woman, both affected by the strike.
Officials say the couple was standing near a tree that was hit by lightning and were impacted by the resulting ground current.
Both were safely removed from the area by rescue teams.
