Monday will be a busy day around Manitowoc with several road closures being announced.
Engineering Division Manager Greg Minikel tells Seehafer News.com that Lincoln Boulevard will be closed between New York Avenue and Pine Street for sanitary sewer construction.
The project is anticipated to be completed on September 5th. Also starting on Monday will be the continuous diamond grinding of the existing concrete pavement on South 26th Street.
This will cause the roadway to be closed in both directions between Hamilton Street and Grand Avenue.
The diamond grinding work is a mobile operation that moves up and down the street several times, but at a fairly slow pace.
It is anticipated that the diamond grinding work will be completed within approximately 7-10 working days, weather permitting.
Lastly, Reed Avenue from North 8th Street to Hamann Road will close for the start of a reconstruction project.
Minikel anticipated that traffic on North 10th and 9th Streets will be permitted to cross Reed Avenue at all times as Vinton Construction works on the road.
That project is expected to be complete on or around October 31st.
