Police in Janesville are investigating the death of Melissa Rupnow, the mother of the Madison school shooter.
Officers responded to a residence on August 1st and identified Rupnow as the deceased.
Authorities believe she may have taken her own life.
Her ex-husband, Jeffrey Rupnow, currently faces charges for allowing their daughter access to the firearms used in the shooting.
Natalie Rupnow fatally shot two people and injured six others at Abundant Life Christian School last year before dying by suicide at the scene.
