
The Manitowoc Bandits scored three runs in the top of the third inning en route to a 7- 4 victory over the Denmark Devil Bats in Game Two of a best-of-three Shoreland League semifinal playoff series at Highbridge Field in Denmark Wednesday night.
Luke Mandich got the Bandits on the board with a two-run single, and Reese Berg added a run-scoring double.
Mandich and Aiden Hoffman had two hits each for the Bandits, as they coaxed Denmark hurlers into eight walks to aid in their victory.
Luke Mandich earned the victory, pitching six shutout innings, allowing just four hits, walking none, and striking out two. Alex Petasek pitched the final three innings in relief.
Logan Paplham took the loss for Denmark, pitching five-and-a-third innings, surrendering four runs on five hits, walking four, and striking out two.
The third and deciding game of the series is tonight in Denmark with the first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The winner will play The Casco A’s in The Shoreland League championship series starting Monday night (August 11th).
