A Two Rivers man facing possession of child pornography charges is being investigated for allegedly breaking the terms of his bond.
Two Rivers Police got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April of this year, saying child pornography was found on a messaging app of 31-year-old Nathan Alan Frenz.
After getting a subpoena to go to his home in the 2000 block of Garfield Street, Frenz was taken into custody and asked about four files containing child sex abuse materials.
According to a criminal complaint, the suspect said his account was shut down twice because of “child exploitation.”
But Frenz also used the accounts for other hobbies.
After confronting the 31-year-old, police say he admitted to having a porn addiction that required a doctor’s visit.
Frenz also admitted that he messed up and had the files on the app.
The Two Rivers Police Department has confirmed that they received citizen reports of Frenz attending school registration day for a parochial school and an end-of-year field trip.
The details of that investigation have not yet been revealed.
Frenz is facing four charges of possession of child pornography.
His bail has been set at $5,000 cash, which has since been posted.
He’s not allowed to have contact with anyone under 18 and not allowed to have an internet-enabled device, unless it’s for work purposes.
