A Harrison Republican is reminding businesses and homeowners that Wisconsin no longer has taxes on certain energy sources.
3rd District Assemblyman Ron Tusler says Republicans were able to get Governor Evers’ signature to remove the state sales tax on electricity and natural gas.
Tusler says the fact that every homeowner or renter has to pay energy bills means that this tax cut will impact almost everyone in Wisconsin.
Furthermore, heat and air conditioning are such vital necessities that taxing them seems to directly contradict Americans’ rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
The Harrison Republican also says Wisconsin households could save an estimated $178 million statewide.
