Local farmers have been named as some of the top young agriculture workers in the entire state.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation (WFBF) has shared its 35 Under 35 list as part of its Young Farmer and Agriculturist program, and the list features farmers from both Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties.
The Bureau’s 35 Under 35 program highlights individuals in five categories, which are Sustainable Environment, Future, Self, Service, and Storytelling.
Manitowoc County’s lone representative on the list is Rachel Kenneke, who was honored in the Sustainable Future category.
Sheboygan County features three individuals to make the list of finalists. David Forester has been selected in the Sustainable Self category, while Tyler Meinnert and Cody Mullikin were recognized in Sustainable Future.
The program aims to recognize and showcase both creativity and innovation from the up-and-coming generation of farmers and agriculturists across Wisconsin who look to preserve agriculture in a multitude of ways.
