Motorists in Sheboygan County should expect closures on Interstate 43 this week.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced that two separate projects will cause the interstate to close daily, through Thursday, August 7th.
I-43 will be closed daily, beginning today (August 4th) through Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Garton Road and Orchard Road.
This closure will affect both the north and southbound lanes, allowing crews to perform pavement repairs at both locations.
Crews will also be out on both lanes of I-43 on Wednesday (August 6th) performing a routine bridge inspection at the Sheboygan River.
The inspection is expected to take place from 8:00 a.m. to noon, closing the highway for the duration of the process.
As always, all roadwork is weather-dependent and subject to change.
