There’s a new venue for people in the Village of Cleveland.
The Cleveland Lions Club held a ribbon-cutting for their newly built pavilion located in Dairyland Park on Saturday (August 2nd) during their brat fry at the Cleveland Dairyland Festival.
Past District Governor Dave Holschbach tells Seehafernews.com that the Lions Club is the largest charitable organization in the world, but its main purpose is to find ways to help the communities.
“We want to help our communities,” he stated. “Help our communities grow. Help whatever needs they have. It’s not just monetary, it’s service and things like that. So we love to go out and just do project to help, fundraisers to help people that are in need.”
The new Lions Club Community Building includes new restrooms, a staging area, and plenty of space for other activities.
Holschbach says it required a lot of work.
“And wanting to help the community as to now finally having it physically be here,” he noted. “Getting through all the loops that are out there, all of the paperwork that’s need to get the permits and things like that. So, I’ve seen the progress year after year. And now the product is finally hear for the community.”
Holschbach also thanked the community for supporting the project.
He told SeehaferNews.com, “The village has worked with them (the community), made donations on behalf of the village. Their fire departments, all the people that come together to work, realizing the importance of having a facility like this, for the community of Cleveland.”
Community members can rent the pavilion, which helps raise money for the Lions Club.
Current Cleveland Lions Club District Governor Roxanne Wendt also says that they are looking for more members to join.
“Just ask another Lion, or just research it,” she suggested. “And another Lions Club, or anyone, can help you get in contact with a Lions Club in your area, or we can help you.”
