The former Valders school bus driver charged with possession of child pornography will not have his bail motion modified.
According to court records, 39-year-old Justin Zipperer was back in Manitowoc County Court Friday morning (August 1st) for his arraignment.
He pleaded not guilty to all 10 counts of possession of child pornography and asked the court to modify his bail to allow him to have an internet-enabled device since he’s looking for a job.
However, he would not be allowed to use any file-sharing applications, programs, or private chat rooms.
Zipperer’s attorney, Shane Brabazon, also asked that the 39-year-old be allowed to have contact with people under 18, as long as there is someone supervising.
After hearing from prosecutors, Judge Anthony Lambrecht ruled against the bond modifications, stating that they had been appropriately set. Zipperer will return to court on September 19th.
Zipperer was arrested in June after Manitowoc Police got a tip from the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Prosecutors say he was using a popular online data storage site named Dropbox to house 21 videos containing child sexual abuse material.
