A Sheboygan man who was shot by police last year has now been bound over for trial on a new charge.
According to court records, 24-year-old Tommie Dixon was back in Sheboygan County Court for a preliminary hearing and arraignment for attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide.
It’s not known if it’s for the incident where he allegedly disarmed an officer before being shot eight times in 2024.
Sheboygan Police Lieutenant Thomas Lichtensteiger testified for prosecutors before they requested Dixion to be bound over for trial. Dixon then entered a not guilty plea to the charge.
He will be back in court on September 8th for a scheduling conference.
Dixon is also facing charges of resisting or obstructing and disarming a police officer in the 2024 incident.
