Milwaukee’s Common Council is preparing to approve more than half a million dollars to resolve two police misconduct cases.
The total the City is prepared to pay comes out to $600,000.
One involves the son of State Senator Lena Taylor, who was detained by officers during a robbery investigation after they saw him running.
The other case centers on a Chicago family who say they were wrongfully held in squad cars at the scene of a homicide, despite being witnesses.
The council is expected to finalize the settlements on Thursday.
