The Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department has introduced a new youth sports league.
The department announced that it will be starting a girls’ youth flag football league that will run from late summer into the early fall.
The girls’ flag football league will be open to those from 2nd to 4th grade and will have games every Monday from September 8th through October 13th.
Games will be played between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. at Walsh Field.
The creation of this league comes as many other cities and schools across the country are doing the same, with girls’ flag football being the fastest-growing sport in America.
In order to make this new league a success, volunteer coaches will also be needed.
Those interested in participating as a player or coach should be registered no later than August 15th.
Anyone with questions regarding the new girls’ flag football league can contact Kenny Shillcox at 920-793-5594.
