A local resident who has located numerous historic shipwrecks will be hosting an event in August.
Suzze Johnson helped locate the shipwrecks of the Major Anderson, Tubal Cain, Lookout, LaSalle, Alaska, and Grace Patterson at Rawley Point.
Rawley Point in Two Rivers is a part of the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary and is the home of 22 shipwrecks, 12 of which are named.
Out of the 12 named wrecks on Rawley Point, Johnson discovered six, and on top of that is the only person to discover that many shipwrecks via ultra-light aircraft on Lake Michigan.
On Saturday, August 9th, Johnson will be at Point Beach State Forest Nature Center in Two Rivers, where she will showcase a presentation on her discoveries.
A park entrance fee will be required for this program.
