Two people were arrested after attempting to steal from the Manitowoc Meijer store.
Manitowoc Police Officers were dispatched to the store at 5:30 Thursday afternoon (July 24th) after a report of a theft in progress.
Upon their arrival, the officers located the 31-year-old suspect’s vehicle, where they found a second individual, a 26-year-old woman, with an open warrant for her arrest.
A Meijer employee informed the investigators that two women entered the store and spent 15 minutes shopping around the store.
During that time, the second individual was seen pointing to items on the shelf, and the first was concealing them in her purse.

When asked why she did it, the suspect told police that the second individual offered to give her $100 if she stole the items.
The 31-year-old was charged with Retail Theft and four counts of felony bail jumping, while the second suspect was also charged with four counts of felony bail jumping and Retail Theft as Party to the Crime.
