Republican legislators are pushing a plan to tie University of Wisconsin tuition increases to the inflation rate.
Representative David Murphy and Senator Andre Jacque say the proposal would keep education affordable while allowing for modest adjustments.
This comes after a five percent tuition hike across most UW campuses, following the end of a multi-year freeze in 2023.
UW-Green Bay was the only campus not affected by the recent increase.
