Flags are flying at hall-staff today (July 24th) across Wisconsin for a Winnebago County firefighter.
Governor Tony Evers signed an executive order in honor of Van Dyne Fire Department Safety Officer, Firefighter, and Emergency Medical Responder Amie Sue Lee, who passed away due to injury complications sustained in the line of duty.
Lee served with the Van Dyne Fire Department for 14 years after first joining in 2011.
She was quickly promoted to safety officer and responded to numerous emergencies throughout her career.
Amie Sue Lee was also on the EAA medical team for 11 years as well as the Lifefest medical team for 10 years.
Services are being held today in Oshkosh for the fallen firefighter.
The executive order lasts all day.
