A local semi-pro football team is looking to build on a franchise-defining win this weekend.
The Sheboygan County SaberCats will be hosting the Southern Lakes Blue Devils on Saturday, in what is being dubbed the Midwest United Football League’s Game of the Week.
The SaberCats have had a couple of weeks off after taking down the two-time defending national champion Illinois Cowboys 34-22.
The win pushed the Sheboygan County team into the national spotlight, as they were named the #13 team in the country.
The Blue Devils enter the contest at 4-2, with one of those losses coming at the hands of the SaberCats in week 2.
Kickoff at Lakeland University is scheduled for 7:00 Saturday evening, and will be live-streamed on the Sheboygan County SaberCats Facebook page.
