The Wisconsin DNR is looking for public comments involving a Door County state park.
A variance in the Northern Lake Michigan Coastal Regional Master Plan at Peninsula State Park would provide siting and development details of a shelter at the Lot 5 trailhead.
Two new storage facilities would be built: one to store trail maintenance equipment and another for a nearby golf course service area, replacing an existing structure.
Public comments can be submitted to the Wisconsin DNR’s Office in Madison and can be made out to Yoyi Steele.
Part of the Northern Lake Michigan Coastal Regional Master Plan would provide more opportunities for hunting and fishing, protect the lake’s shoreline and tributaries, and enhance access for individuals with mobility impairments.
Peninsula State Park is located in Fish Creek and spans 3,800 acres, offering year-round outdoor opportunities.
