A Sheboygan Falls High School graduate has earned an agriculture-based scholarship.
The Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative has announced that they have awarded $10,000 in scholarship funding to five students from across the state.
Those recipients include Chloe Breunig, a Sheboygan Falls native and a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, who was awarded a $2,000 scholarship.
Breunig is pursuing a degree in dairy science and has plans to return to her family farm upon the completion of her degree.
On the scholarship funding, Tim Trotter, Edge CEO, said, “We hope that all students, whether attending a technical college, a four-year university or other educational programs, feel they have the chance to learn new skills and gain valuable experiences that they can carry with them throughout their lives and also bring back to the farm.”
Bruenig is one of three current college students selected through the scholarship program, while two were given to recently graduated high school seniors.
