A man was held at gunpoint by Manitowoc police after fleeing on a motorcycle.
An officer saw a motorcycle with a bent license plate traveling east on Waldo Boulevard early Saturday morning (May 24th) and turned around to pull them over.
The man then sped off, before eventually pulling into the driveway of a residence in the 1100 block of North 6th Street.
The officer went to detain the 33-year-old when he put his hands into his pockets.
The officer drew his handgun and ordered the man to keep his hands in plain sight.
The man and his girlfriend then began recording the situation on their cellphones, and the woman began yelling at the officer.
Backup arrived and pointed their tasers at the man.
He then cooperated with the police and was detained. A search of the man revealed a pocketknife and a nearly empty bottle of alcohol.
An evidentiary blood draw was conducted, and the man was arrested on charges of Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, Resisting an Officer, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
