
The Mishicot Indians wrapped up the regular season Monday with a convincing 8 to 0 victory over Random Lake in a battle of Big East Division winners in Random Lake.
Mishicot (The North division champions) scored all eight of their runs in the first three innings and the Rams (The South Division champions) were handcuffed the entire game in the circle by Kiran Sanford.
The Indians’ senior left hander faced the minimum of 21 batters, allowing no runs or base hits, walking three and striking out 19 to earn her 21st win of the season.
Offensively, Cooper Brouchoud was three for five with two RBI’s and two runs scored, Kaelin Adair homered, knocking in a game-high four runs and scored twice with Kasey Brouchoud, Kiran Sanford, Emma Schmidt and Eva Boness adding two hits apiece as part of the Indians’ 14-hit attack.
Mishicot has the top-seed in their Division Four regional bracket and open tournament play next Tuesday (May 27th) hosting the winner of Howards Grove and Manitowoc Lutheran.
That game will be played on Thursday afternoon at Lancer Circle with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
