
It will be a busy day in Manitowoc City Hall as there are three meetings on tap.
First up will be a joint meeting of the Committee of the Whole and the Room Tax Commission, which will be in the held in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m.
The two groups will discuss tourism promotion and tourism development contract negotiations before the Committee of the Whole takes over the chambers at 5:35 p.m.
They will discuss a pair of ordinances that would regulate the Room Tax Commission and create a Visit Manitowoc Board before entering a closed session to discuss the possibility of acquiring property on Sylvan Drive for “park purposes.”
Closing out the day will be the Common Council, which will convene in the chambers at 6:30 p.m. After hearing input from the public, Mayor Nickels will make appointments to various committees.
The full council will then review the topics discussed by the Committee of the Whole, before looking over a proposal from the Allie Family Companies to purchase a plot of land on West Drive and South 59th Street.
