Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan has entered a not guilty plea to charges claiming she helped an undocumented immigrant avoid detention by federal agents.
Authorities allege Dugan escorted Eduardo Flores Ruiz out a private exit after learning Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were present in the courthouse during a hearing last month.
Her legal team has filed a motion to dismiss the case, arguing the arrest violated constitutional protections and citing judicial immunity.
A court hearing is scheduled for July.
