Authorities say an emergency lockdown at Milwaukee’s Zeidler Municipal Building and City Hall on Wednesday was likely prompted by a false alarm.
Initial reports suggested gunfire after loud noises were heard in the stairwell, but investigators have found no signs that any shots were actually fired.
Police are continuing to search for a person of interest connected to the incident.
