As the school year gets close to ending in Two Rivers, construction will be getting underway again.
Two Rivers Public Schools Superintendent Diane Johnson explained on WOMT’s Be My Guest program that money from the district’s 2022 referendum is still being used for construction and improvements around the district.
Johnson says while renovations at L.B. Clark Middle School are completed, a new playground will be added over the summer.
But other projects will get done as well.
“We’ll see some parking lots getting done and roof work happening,” she noted. “On the inside, there are PA systems that are getting replaced. We’re doing some upgrading with technology and heating and cooling.”
Specific projects she mentions include replacing flooring at Koenig, getting a new emergency generator at Magee, and getting new tech ed lighting at Two Rivers High School.
Districtwide, projects will include updating a security network firewall, upgrading central office HVAC, and getting better laptops for students.
