The star pitcher for the Mishicot High School softball team nearly achieved perfection yesterday (April 28th).
Kiran Sanford took the mound as the Indians invaded St. Mary Catholic, and in her four innings of work, she struck out 8 batters, hurling her 5th no-hitter.
The only base runner came on a walk. Sanford also got a lot of help at the plate, as she and her teammates pelted 17 hits in the 15-0 win.
Sanford helped her own cause with a pair of hits and an RBI, while Sierra Skarda pelted a triple, and Cooper Brouchoud cleared the wall twice.
The Zephyrs will have a chance at revenge this Thursday (May 1st), as this time the teams will square off at Mishicot High School.
