A man charged after a fatal shooting in Green Bay has pleaded to a lesser charge.
25-year-old Jesse Dahl was present for a plea hearing yesterday (April 28th) after previously pleading not guilty to charges of being a party to First-Degree Intentional Homicide and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon in February.
At yesterday’s hearing, both of those charges were dismissed but read into the record, while court records show that Dahl pled guilty to the lesser charge of First-Degree Reckless Homicide last week.
The deadly shooting took place on December 20th, 2022, in the 1300 block of Smith Street.
As we previously reported, the victims were said to be in an alley when they met with Dahl and another unnamed individual.
The victims, unidentified 41- and 42-year-olds, were both shot after an altercation broke out between the four men.
As a result, the 42-year-old was transported to a local hospital, where he would later die, while the 41-year-old would survive.
Dahl will be back in court in Brown County on July 28th for a sentencing hearing.
