The City of Chilton is adding more to its waterfront.
A new commercial ADA kayak and canoe launch will be installed soon in Hobart Park to provide paddlers with a safe and accessible way to get on the south branch of the Manitowoc River.
According to Chilton Officials, the launch pad is designed for simplicity by having an ADA Transfer Bench, guide rails, and launch rollers.
This combination of features ensures a straightforward and secure experience for paddlers at any skill level.
Schmidt Boat Lifts and Docks will install the new launches.
The city and the Chilton Lake District also collaborated to install two new fishing piers adjacent to the Chilton Public Library in Morrisey Park.
On their Facebook page, the city explains that area residents and visitors can now enjoy the new scenic beauty of the Riverwalk, along with an updated space for fishing and recreation for years to come.
