An Oshkosh man has been federally indicted for producing child pornography.
Richard Frohling, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, has announced that 43-year-old Bradley D Hounsell has been indicted by a federal grand jury.
Frohling’s statement says that Hounsell attempted to and successfully employed a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the sole purpose of producing a visual depiction of said explicit conduct.
The unsealed indictment for the 43-year-old states, “between, on, or about November 4, 2023, and November 8, 2023, Hounsell is alleged to have employed, used, persuaded, induced, enticed, and coerced a minor for the purpose of transporting child pornography via the internet.”
The FBI led the investigation into Hounsell with the assistance of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office after the case was brought forward as part of Project Safe Childhood, which uses local, state, and federal resources to stop the sexual exploitation of children online.
If convicted, Hounsell would face a minimum of 15 years in prison, fines up to $250,000, and register as a sex offender under state and federal law.
