The Mayor of Sheboygan is set to appoint leaders to the Common Council committees.
Sheboygan’s 2025-2026 Common Council will hold its second meeting today (April 21st), which will begin with Mayor Sorenson appointing Alders to their respective leadership positions.
Alders Trey Mitchell and Grazia Perrella will continue in their roles of Finance and Personnel Chairperson and Vice Chair, respectively.
Alder Robert La Fave will again be the Vice Chair of Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety Committee, while Alder Zach Rust will be appointed as the new Chair of the Committee.
Rust will also head the City’s Board of License Examiners and continue as the Vice Chair of the Public Works Committee. Alder Dean Dekker will again be appointed to chair the Public Works Committee, which also makes him a part of the Board of Marina, Park, and Forestry Commissioners.
Mayor Sorenson’s appointments are the only item on the Common Council’s agenda for tonight’s meeting.
