
Kiel Fire and Rescue has appointed a new fire chief.
Brad Becker was named the new chief effective immediately.
Becker has served the department for over 40 years, progressing through various leadership roles including Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain and Second along with most recently, First Assistant Chief.
Becker has served in EMS for more than 20 years, enhancing Kiel Fire and Rescue’s capabilities to ensure the well-being of the community.
Becker becomes just the fourth individual to hold the position of Kiel Fire Chief since 1931.
Meanwhile, Bob Jennings Jr, the former fire chief, will stay in the department and transition into his new role as first assistant chief.
