A Neenah man is going to federal prison for possession of child pornography.
According to Eastern District US Attorney Richard Frohling, 45-year-old Roberto De La Rosa was sentenced to five years in prison following an incident in October of last year.
Law enforcement got a cyber tip that De La Rosa possessed and distributed numerous digital images and videos of child sexual abuse material.
Court records also say that De La Rosa repeatedly accessed, viewed, collected, and distributed the material on numerous occasions.
Federal Judge William Griesbach noted the serious nature of the charge and the need to protect the public.
Following prison time, De La Rosa will spend seven years on supervised release and will have to register as a sex offender.
