The first Narcan Vending Machine in Manitowoc County will be officially opened later today (April 15th).
The Chamber Manitowoc County will be hosting a ceremony with the Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health and Education Center (NEWAHEC) at the NEWAHEC office on York Street in Manitowoc beginning at 4:00 pm.
The groundbreaking installation provides free 24/7 access to Narcan and fentanyl test strips to help reduce overdose fatalities by up to 15% in communities.
Other counties, including Outagamie, Winnebago, and Milwaukee, have Narcan vending machines.
