A Green Bay man accused of killing a man and his dog has been given a new court date.
34-year-old James Dorr was inside a Brown County courtroom on Monday as he faces charges of First-Degree Intentional Homicide, Mistreatment of Animals Causing Death, Possession of Methamphetamine, and two counts of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer after his AA sponsor and the man’s dog were killed.
WBAY reports that on Monday, officials chose to reschedule his hearing as more time was needed for case review.
In February, Dorr was arrested and charged after police found his AA sponsor and the man’s dog dead via stabbing.
A criminal complaint states that an autopsy revealed that the victim was stabbed 27 times, including 15 times to the chest.
Authorities were led to the 34-year-old after police found his wallet at the scene and he was arrested after an officer saw him walking on Mason Street.
He returns to court in Brown County on June 12th.
