A Manitowoc man charged with stealing thousands of dollars from his father is pleading not guilty.
According to court records, 48-year-old Jeremey Ruelle entered the plea during a court hearing last Thursday (April 3rd).
He also waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over for further proceedings.
His next court appearance is set for April 29th for a status conference.
Ruelle faces charges of theft of movable property, misappropriating an ID to get money, and bail jumping after allegedly stealing close to $7,000.
Manitowoc Police began investigating after his sister told police that the father’s wallet was taken from the home after they moved him into an assisted living facility.
Investigators say Ruelle spent the money at places like Kwik Trip and Walmart while also taking out cash from several ATMs.
