The steady decline in the price of homes in Manitowoc County continued last month.
The Wisconsin Realtors Association recently released the statistics for February, and the average price for a home sold in the county dropped by $28,000.
In January, homes sold for an average of $220,000, and last month, that price fell to $192,000.
That is slightly higher than February 2024, when an average home sold for $186,250.
The number of homes sold remained relatively steady, as the 58 homes sold last month were only two more than in January.
It was, however, 20 more than were sold last February.
The statewide statistics went a different direction, with the median price coming in at $304,900, up from $293,000 in January, and up from $275,000 last February.
There were 170 more homes sold in February than in January and 364 more than in February of 2024.
