A national nonprofit based in Sheboygan County has named its next Executive Director.
The Kohler Foundation has announced Angela Ramey has taken over the role following the departure of the previous Executive Director, Laura Roenitz.
Ramey joined the foundation back in 2023 as its Senior Manager of Programs before being named Interim Executive Director in August of last year.
In her new position, Ramey will continue to oversee the foundation’s performing arts series, the Distinguished Guest Series, grants, and scholarship programs.
Ramey will be bringing a background in public programming along with a belief that the arts and education play a pivotal role in fostering a healthy community to her new leadership role.
In addition to her work with Kohler Foundation, Ramey also currently serves as a member of the Sheboygan Common Council as the District 5 Alder, however, she will not be seeking another term in this year’s election.
On her appointment, Carla Ross, Kohler Foundation Board President, said, “We have full confidence in her ability to continue driving our mission forward and maintaining the high standards of excellence that have become synonymous with Kohler Foundation.”
Kohler Foundation’s charitable work focuses on art preservation, grants, scholarships, the Distinguished Guest Series, and maintaining the Waelderhaus in the Village of Kohler.
