A man charged with stealing thousands of dollars in copper wire has been convicted.
Court documents show that 43-year-old Mark Plagemann of Manitowoc pleaded no contest to two counts of theft of movable property over $10,000.
Both repeater enhancers were deleted from the charges.
Judge Anthony Lambrecht set a sentencing hearing for Plagemann for next Wednesday (March 19th).
Plagemann was arrested by Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputies in October last year after a three-week-long investigation of copper thefts at a business in the Town of Meeme.
Over $30,000 worth of copper wire was stolen before Plagemann was arrested.
