A former member of the Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) and Sheriff’s Detective has passed away.
According to his Zimmer Westview obituary, Mark Mancl passed away on Saturday, March 8th.
During Mancl’s life, he spent more than 30 years serving the community in numerous different roles.
Mancl spent more than three decades serving as a member of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.
He also cared deeply about education and was elected and served as an SASD Board member for over ten years after being first elected in 2010.
Highlights from his time as a board member included the opportunity to present his children with their high school diplomas.
He was a member of the board as recently as last year before he resigned from his seat.
The Mancl family suggests those wishing to honor Mark do so by making a charitable donation focused on addiction recovery or education. Mancl was 59 years old.
