
Crime numbers in the City of Oshkosh continue to follow downward trends in 2025.
The Oshkosh Police Department has released its crime statistics from February, and the numbers continue to be positive for the city.
Of the nine crimes they track with these updates, only two, sex offenses and robbery, are up from this time last year.
In 2025, there have been 16 sex offenses and one robbery, up narrowly by two and one, respectively, compared to 2024 up to this point.
Other numbers significantly down include a 100 percent decrease in homicide and a 70 drop in motor vehicle theft.
Aggravated assault, simple assault, burglary, and theft are also down by at least 23 percent this year compared to 2024 as well.
In February, Oshkosh PD also dealt with ten OWI arrests, eight weapon law violations, and 45 drug or narcotic-related offenses.
With the release of this data, the Oshkosh Police Department also shared, “The safety of our citizens is always our top priority, and officers continue to work diligently to ensure this safety and increase the quality of life for all.”
