The Big East All-Conference basketball selections were released Friday afternoon.
Girls selected for the first All-Big East North Division team are Senior G Ermis and junior Marissa Melhorn of Manitowoc Lutheran, seniors Emily Vogel and Nolie Anderson of St. Mary Catholic, and junior Kenzie Rosenow from Mishicot. Melhorn and Vogel were unanimous selections by the coaches.
The second-team selections are junior Makiah Krause of Manitowoc Lutheran, juniors Kortney Dvorachek and Mercedes Grimm, and sophomore Addison Stoeckight of Howards Grove.
Honorable Mention selections include senior Addison Korte of Manitowoc Lutheran, Mishicot senior Karsyn Krause, junior Brianne Vandoske, freshman Soraya Benton of Howards Grove, and sophomore Liz Schneider of Hilbert.
In the South Division, the first team consists of juniors Ady and Riley Ketterhagen and freshman Kinsley Ketterhagen, all of Oostburg, and seniors Addy Verhagen and Taylor Brigham of Sheboygan Lutheran. All were chosen unanimously.
On the second team are seniors Olivia Bahr and Sophie Beightol of Cedar Grove/Belgium, sophomore Samantha Veldkamp of Sheboygan Christian, Random Lake senior Madelyn Abler, and freshman Gwen Elliot of Kohler.
Honorable Mention recognition was awarded to senior Savannah Quade and junior Ellie Rodgers of Ozaukee, Junior Megan Walz of Sheboygan Lutheran, senior Aubrey VanEss of Oostburg, and junior Claire Brotz of Kohler.
The Big East North Division Boys First team selections are senior Derek Laabs of Manitowoc Lutheran, Junior Ben Prochnow of Reedsville, seniors Trent Gruenewald and Connor Cruz of Howards Grove, and senior Brody Feldmann of Elkhart Lake/ Glenbeulah. Prochnow, Grunewald, and Cruz were unanimous selections.
Juniors Wesley Hecker and Will Franzen of Manitowoc Lutheran headline the second team. They are joined by senior Parker Maney of Reedsville, senior Preston Fields of St. Mary Catholic, and Elkhart Lake Glenbeulah junior Ashton Theucks.
Honorable recognition goes to Reedsville junior Arden Strenn, freshman Bradley Wendricks of Mishicot, junior Keaton Milbrath and sophomore Trace Damrow of Howards Grove, and St. Mary Catholic junior Mason Uhlenbrauck.
First-team all-Big-East South unanimous selections include Oostburg juniors JJ Zavatchin and Cade Dirske and junior Owen Gulke of Cedar Grove-Belgium.
Also on the first team are senior Max Breitenbach of Kohler and sophomore Marion Boyland of Sheboygan Lutheran.
Juniors Zach Leonhard and Brennen Hackbarth of Sheboygan Lutheran headline the second team. They are joined by Kohler senior Brody Duchow, Junior Carter Schmitz of Cedar Grove- Belgium, and sophomore Braydon Lowrance-Eischen of Ozaukee.
Three players from Sheboygan Lutheran received honorable mention and recognition. Seniors Josh Kautzer and Brock Zylstra and junior Cam Ferraino, along with senior Otto Utech and junior Chase Mills of Ozaukee.
