The former mall property buildings in Manitowoc are finally down.
An update from Mayor Justin Nickels showed an empty lot where the former Younkers building used to be yesterday.
Nickels called it an end of an era and the beginning of another.
The other mall building was taken down earlier this year.
Nickels says crews will continue to be on site through spring, cleaning up and ripping up the foundations before the area is flattened and seeded.
Tycore Inc out of Green Bay will be able to start developing the property which could include over 177 apartments and up to 41 single- and two-family homes worth up to $70 million.
There could also be some new restaurants and lots for local businesses to start up.
