The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) has provided an update on the progress being made after the passing of their referendum.
During November’s general election, the SASD’s $121 million referendum passed with 65 percent of voters in support.
Since then, the district and its partners have been hard at work implementing the project which will see major upgrades made at Farnsworth and Urban Middle Schools.
Over the past few months, teams have been completing land surveys and traffic analysis at both locations.
Planning and design-wise, a team comprised of SASD, Bray Architects, and Quasius and Smith have been developing floor and site plans for Urban and Farnsworth.
During the process, Bray Architects, SASD administration, and staff from each building will regularly collaborate to fine-tune the learning environments in both schools.
The next steps in implementing the referendum will include further development of schematic plans, holding User Group meetings, and refining exterior design concepts.
