FOX11 reports that 23-year-old Rezhun Scott is facing charges after he allegedly picked then 15-year-old Sienna Pecore and took her to his apartment after the accident.
According to a criminal complaint, Scott was driving separately and claimed he tried to help the victim, 17-year-old Cruz Beltron, before taking Pecore to his apartment.
Scott’s trial has been scheduled for next month with a final pre-trial set for March 17th.
Pecore was sentenced in April last year to spend nine years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of 2nd-degree reckless homicide and 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety.
She was driving at speeds around 100 miles per hour when she crashed the car, she was driving that ultimately killed Beltron.
