The Two Rivers City Council is looking at amending an ordinance for food truck vendors.
Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley presented a draft ordinance last night (March 3rd) to the council, which talks about vendors from special vehicles, specifically referencing food trucks that are allowed to sell food at Neshotah Beach.
Some of the changes include allowing some food trucks to be there as early as 7:00 am but also limiting vehicles from doing business around the downtown area.
New language would also be added to the limitations, including that one vendor can apply for one permit from the parks and recreations department and sell from Parking Lot 1 only at Neshotah.
The new language to the draft ordinance also allows the parks and recreation director to have “black-out dates” when vendors aren’t permitted as well.
The council didn’t take actions since it was a draft from the city’s Advisory Recreation Board.
The amendment could be officially voted on during their March 17th regular council meeting.
