A woman is being found competent to go to trial over her cellmate’s death.
FOX11 reports that a psychiatrist’s report showed no evidence to support a not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect plea from 29-year-old Taylor Sanchez.
She’s scheduled to be back in court later this month. She been charged with killing Cindy Schultz-Juedes in the Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac.
According to a criminal complaint, Sanchez told investigators that she stopped taking her medications and started to hear voices again.
She also allegedly told investigators that she believed Schultz-Juedes was using her toothbrush to scrub the toilet and other times to wipe the floors.
Schultz-Juedes was found in July 2023 in the jail cell unresponsive before being pronounced dead.
