Applications are now being accepted for Sheboygan’s Citizen Academy.
The Sheboygan Police Department’s 29th annual Citizen Academy will begin on April 1st and conclude on June 10th.
The program aims to give Sheboygan residents the opportunity to gain knowledge and a better understanding of what officers experience on the job.
It will also outline the vision, values, goals, and operations of the police department to Sheboyganites that choose to participate.
Classes during the academy will be held on Tuesdays and run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
All applicants must be 18 years of age and will be subject to background checks.
Applications will be accepted until March 24th, however, the program fills up rather quickly so those interested are advised to submit the proper documents sooner rather than later.
Applications and additional information on the 29th annual Sheboygan Police Department Citizen Academy can be found online by visiting sheboyganpolice.com/community.
