A Two Rivers man facing charges in an attempted homicide will get to see records regarding the victim’s injuries.
Court documents from last month show that the lawyer for 63-year-old Calvis Eis will see the medical records under certain orders from Judge Mark Rohrer.
The records can only be viewed by both prosecutors and the defense, no additional copies can be made, and the records can’t be used for any other purpose than to prepare and present an argument.
Eis will be back in a Manitowoc County Courtroom for a scheduling hearing on March 11th.
He’s facing charges after he was arrested by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office in the Town of Two Rivers last year.
Sheriff’s deputies say they found a female victim with multiple stab wounds and other injuries.
Eis also had wounds, but authorities say they were self-inflicted.
Eis remains in the Manitowoc County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
He’s facing charges including attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide, substantial battery, strangulation and suffocation, and possession of drugs.
